Kalagachhia Ecotourism Park is located in the western part of the Sundarbans, on the calm banks of the Kholpetua River. This center, operated under the Satkhira Range of Khulna Division, is a unique tourist destination for nature lovers. On one side is the local township and on the other is the vast Sundarbans, with the Kholpetua River flowing in between. Upon crossing the river and entering the forest, tourists will see rows of forest trees, forest animals, and the unique rhythm of nature.
As soon as you enter the Kalagachhia Ghat, you will see monkeys running around. There is a strong iron bridge on the way to the main entrance. After crossing the bridge, you will see another wooden bridge, with rows of Khalisha, Harkocha, and Bine trees on both sides. Monkeys, deer, foxes, reindeer, fish, and various species of birds can be seen wandering around the forest.
The forests of Kalagachhia are famous for their different species of plants and animals. Here are found Khalisha, Harkocha, Bine, Dhanupata and Gamcha.
